Miriam Blennerhassett is an Irish soprano and founding member of several notable vocal ensembles, including Anúna, the National Chamber Choir, and The Drawing Room Opera Company. She studied voice at the Dublin College of Music and has performed leading roles with Opera Ireland, appearing in productions of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Puccini’s Madame Butterfly.
In 2002, Miriam made her U.S. debut at Carnegie Hall in New York, performing in Jim Molloy’s production of The Irish Ring. She has since continued to perform both in Ireland and internationally, contributing to a wide range of classical and contemporary works.
A long-time acquaintance of Gavin Friday dating back to his Virgin Prunes era, Miriam was cast in 2006 as Lady Stardust in his cabaret-style stage production Tomorrow Belongs to Me. In 2024, she contributed vocals to the title track of the album Ecce Homo.
