Dave Ball is an English producer and electronic musician, who formed Soft Cell (with Marc Almond) and The Grid.
His 1983 solo album In Strict Tempo featured Gavin Friday on vocals on the song “Strict Tempo”. That year Ball also worked with the Virgin Prunes, producing their album The Moon Looked Down and Laughed, released in 1986.
In 2010, Dave Ball reunited with Gavin to work on the 10″ single “Ghostrider” in tribute of Suicide’s Alan Vega.
In 2024, Ball and Friday released Ecce Homo, their first full-length collaboration. The album was written and recorded between London and Dublin, with Ball and Friday working closely across both cities over a two-year period.
