“Nothing Like the Sun”, the Shakespeare’s Sonnets set to music by composer Gavin Bryars, was commissioned by Opera North and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in 2006. It features Gavin Friday as the narrator and performer of his own setting of Sonnet 40.
