Dubliners may have spotted Gavin on posters (pdf / Jpg) promoting ‘ReJoyce Dublin 2004’, the Bloomsday Centenary Festival, around their city.
Rejoyce Dublin has asked Irish directors to film extracts from Ulysses. Director Shimmy Marcus (Headrush, Aidan Walsh – Master of the Universe) decided to focus on racism and anti-semitism. He filmed Gavin and Maurice and members of the Friday/Seezer ensemble busking ‘Fatal Flower Garden’ (formerly known as The Jew’s Daughter) on Moore Street. The 9 minute film will be shown on Bloomsday.
